Kill Devil Rum Cake

Cake
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 box yellow cake mix
1 (3.75oz) box vanilla instant pudding mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup Kill Devil Rum w/ Pecans & Honey

Glaze
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Kill Devil Rum w/ Pecans & Honey

Sprinkle nuts over bottom of greased bundt pan. In a mixer combine, cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil and rum. Mix on high for 2 minutes. Pour batter over nuts. Bake at 325 degrees in oven for 50 minutes to an hour. Cool cake in the pan and then invert onto serving plate. Prick top of cake with evenly spaced holes. Pour slightly cooled glaze over top of the cake, using pastry brush to brush glaze up the sides and over the the top until absorbed.

Glaze

Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in the water and sugar. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in the rum. Let cool slightly before glazing cake.
